About This Park

The Boyne Forest Trails are a mountain bike system in the Boyne City School Forest and adjacent city, conservancy, school, and state land between Boyne City and Walloon Lake. The Top of Michigan Mountain Bike Association builds and maintains the network, laid out as connecting loops that progress from beginner-friendly riding to advanced features, with most trails directional on a daily rotation. The 2.5-mile Double Dog trail, machine-built by Flowtrack of Marquette in 2021, carries rollers, berm turns, natural jumps, and Steeltrack steel-frame wood-decking features, and a newer jump line has been added. The main trailhead with a 60-space parking lot is on Old Horton Bay Road.
