About This Park
Vultures Knob Mountain Bike Trail is a privately owned, donation-supported bike park on 125 acres along the Killbuck River southwest of Wooster at 4300 Mechanicsburg Road. Built and maintained by volunteers since the 1990s on a capped landfill site, the system offers more than 7.5 miles of technical singletrack with names like Rock Tunnel, Fern Gully, and Oh Sh#t reflecting its rocky, rooty character. Ohio's oldest public-access private MTB system welcomes riders sunrise to sunset when open; sign in and donate at the trailhead. Use caution on the narrow access road and check vulturesknob.org or Facebook for closures including spring turkey season.
