About This Park

FortWhyte Alive marks these trails by the skill and fitness they take. Cyclists must wear a helmet. Motorized vehicles are prohibited, and people stay on marked trails and follow the directional signs. The north trail gate locks 30 minutes before the grounds close. The course was built for the 2017 Canada Summer Games mountain bike competition. Elder Clarence Nepinak gifted the name Mashkode Bizhiki, meaning prairie buffalo.
